"...I was redesigning my sister's Bed & Breakfast site
that had been marketed
very little, and been initially submitted to search engines at
least 3 years ago. Needless to say, rankings in important areas
were dismal and we had nowhere to go but up. Very early in the
class exercises to determine our best keyword phrasings, a potential
opportunity arose via a new domain choice that had not been taken
(unbelievably). It happened to be the same as the primary keyword
phrasing that I targeted for this project, so I got it.
A whole new site was designed on this new domain, and carefully
'shaped' to maximize as many tools as needed to achieve our goal
of 1st page ranking in google. With changing economies, and crisises
in the world, the tourism industry has taken a toll, so good rankings
become increasingly vital for any accommodation. Larger accommodations
portals have dominated the selected primary keyword phrasing, along
with a handful of paid placements.
The newly finished site was completed and submissions done. It
became a waiting game. Too anxious to wait, I checked in 2 weeks
to see if we were getting indexed yet, anywhere. WOW! We had a
first page ranking (#8) in google, our primary goal! I was breathless.
Now it becomes urgent to get all the other marketing of this new
site into place. . . The stats are showing that referrals are coming
in from other search engines, and we have 3rd page ranking on AOL
as well, so the site is getting indexed elsewhere, and customers
are responding. Achieving such spectacular results is no accident;
Al's up-to-date knowledge, attention to detail, and experience
