Instructors: Bean Fairbanks & Arthur Hawes
Course Description
Harry:
[Liked best:] "The lessons were well organized and clearly explained. The exercises reinforced the material covered in the lessons.
"The instructor and assistant reviewed the posted exercises promptly, offering constructive criticism.
Beth:
"Bean and Cheryl were excellent teachers. There responses were detailed and very helpful. They both seemed very adapt at answering on the level that each student needed. I learned so much more than I expected. I am eager for session II!"
Sara:
"This class covered a great deal of information, but it didn't seem overwhelming. Bean and Cheryl were so helpful and always willing to answer questions (very quickly too!). The assignments were easy to follow and very clearly written. Each week showed a nice progression and the lessons flowed easily into each other. I learned so much."
Adele:
[Liked best:] "The Instructors"
Rick Angeli:
"The Instructors were thorough in their preparation and with their evaluations of the assignments."
Betsy:
[Liked best:] "First the way the lessons were presented. Though it seemed easy at first we were eased into Dreamweaver and step by step it got harder and in only a 6 week time I was able to do so much I had never been able to understand before.
Debra:
[Liked best:] "Interacting with instructor and students and seeing their work. It shows what can be done and brings new ideas to try later."
Mindy:
"Bean made the lessons very clear. I feel that I understand the basics of
Dreamweaver much better than I did before. I would highly recommend this class
to those wanting a clear solid foundation in Dramweaver."
Sean Kelley:
"working at my own pace with an instructor to let me
know if my assignments are correct, other than that i learned a lot more
about CSS and spry was cool.
"i thought it was great and look forward to
the intermediate class"
Kate Britt:
"I had taken 2 levels of Dreamweaver classes previously (other versions), so I wondered whether to take Level I or II to learn the new things in DW CS-3. I'm glad I began with Level I. The first 2 lessons were a good review, quite easy for me, and then I began learning the many new tools and tricks in CS-3.
Bean Fairbanks has created some excellent lessons -- clear, well illustrated, easy to follow, and still containing enough challenge even if you consider yourself well-versed in the use of DW. I've used DW 2 to 3 times a week for years, and still would say this is the level for you if you want to facilitate getting used to the features of this new version, CS3. About the class format (discussion forums following each lesson): I learned just as much or more from reading Bean's comments about people's homework pages, her tips, tricks, fixes, ideas, etc., as I did from the lessons. She provided so much help for each of us to problem-solve our unique difficulties that came up as we did the homework.
"Bean also provides some fun bonus assignments in case we were feeling up to an extra challenge. Bean's lessons also incorporated practice on DW CS-3's integration with other Adobe CS-3 applications."
