Elaina's lessons are clear and lucid, her examples and exercises well designed to demonstrate the operation of the various tools. The class is geared to provide for both the experienced user of other graphics programs and complete newbies, and she is patient with the beginner's questions as well as the more advanced
students' eagerness to lurch ahead of the lessons.
"Programs like Painter frequently have a rather steep learning curve, and are very difficult to master through self-study and trial & error (the way I first learned CorelDraw lo these many years ago). I've had Painter installed for a while now, and have made little progress with it, I kept meaning to allocating the time to really study the manual and experiment with the program, but never got around to it. This course made a perfect introduction, and at a real bargain price.
"I can heartily recomend this class to anyone who wants a door into using Corel Painter. With what I got from this class, in combination with my general familiarity with graphics programs (Photoshop, CorelDraw, Photopaint), I could probably go on to use Painter pretty effectively in my usual workflow (I'm a professional illustrator). But I'll be signing up for the second class series anyway. I'm getting a guided tour of the program for less than the price of most books on the subject, and you can't beat that with a stick!"

"I mentioned in my intro at the beginning of this course that I was coming into it through the skeptic door (very strong skepticism).
"Starting with lesson one, my eyes began to open; about mid-course I became a believer; I check Twitter throughout the day for "champlain bridge" a local disaster here for news as you mentioned following a killer hunt in Seattle area. I'm developing Followings and Followers on that subject and my Adobe Photoshop addiction. I'm retired and have no business to promote, but have learned enough to begin promoting some community organizations I volunteer with.

I have spent a lot of money on tutorials and spent a lot of time on line looking and studying various tutorials, however I have learned more from this class than I have from most tutorials. This class covers the basic and I think more it gives a great insight into 3d modeling and teaches one what to look for when modeling. The instructor was great and answered all the questions and with here knowledge was able to give more information that needed which help in the learning progress. I going to skip the nest class, however I WILL be back. This has been a pleasant learning experience, THANKS."
