CLASSROOM MESSAGE BOARD
To access your classroom message board, first enter your classroom as noted here on the start date. You will find the link to the classroom message board at the top of your classroom page and/or at the bottom of your classroom page. Once you arrive, feel free to post messages here to introduce yourself and meet your fellow classmates. Check your classroom message board often as all important announcements will be posted to the message board by your instructor.

Setting Message Board Preferences

There are several different message formats so be sure to go to the "Set Preferences" link at the top of the classroom message board page and choose the layout best for you.

LESSONS
Lessons will be posted to the classroom for viewing on the web (HTML) and/or in printable format (PDF). Adobe® Acrobat® Reader is freely distributable software that lets you view and print Portable Document Format (PDF) files. You may download the free program at www.adobe.com.

Once the session begins, most lessons will be posted each Saturday unless otherwise stated in the classroom. Just follow the link in your classroom to receive your lessons each week. Lessons and lesson files will remain online for approximately 30 days after the last lesson is posted. Be sure to download your class files before your access to the classroom is removed.

UPLOADING ASSIGNMENTS
Some classes require students to post their assignments to a web site for viewing by the instructor. Those taking these classes may want to sign up for free web space at LVS Online.

LVS also offers a Student Upload Area for those students who do not wish to use a website to display assignments. This easy to use file manager is available in most classes for students to utilize.

Information on available Hosting Options for your class will appear on your classroom page when the classroom opens.

If you need help creating a web page, LVS offers a free HTML tutorial.

LVS also offers link back buttons for your web pages. You can find a selection of buttons to choose from on the logo page along with the necessary HTML code.

CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION
LVS offers Certificates of Completion for instructor-led classes. Visit the LVS Certificates page for more information.

If you neglected to request a Certificate of Completion during registration, you may request one before the second lesson is posted. Contact Vikki or Kat to order a late Certificate of Completion.

HOSTING
LVS offers free hosting and student hosting accounts exclusively for LVS students. If you are in need of a host for posting your assignments, you will find the information in your classroom.
